During a highly unpredictable and intense year in college athletics, The Money Game provides a unique and comprehensive look into LSU Athletics, showcasing a pivotal moment in NCAA sports history. This documentary series examines the significant influence of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) rights, which are revolutionizing the college sports arena. By focusing on LSU's top athletes, coaches, and officials, The Money Game delves into the lasting impact of these developments on the future of college sports.


Louisiana State University, known as the leading university in Louisiana, is a powerhouse in college sports, having won 51 national championships and produced numerous high-earning athletes during the era of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). The show focuses on the journeys of LSU's exceptional players, who together have amassed more than 20 million social media followers.


The documentary will feature:


Olivia Dunne: An LSU gymnast and social media sensation, Dunne has emerged as a leading figure in NIL, partnering with major brands and amplifying her influence both on and off the mat.


Angel Reese: Known as “The Bayou Barbie,” Reese led the Tigers to a national basketball championship in 2023. She has since built a substantial national brand and was a first-round pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.


Flau’jae Johnson: The SEC Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Year has also made waves as an artist signed with Roc Nation, merging her athletic prowess with a burgeoning music career.


Trace Young: After transferring from Colorado State to LSU, Young has developed a notable endorsement portfolio, showcasing the growing influence of athletes in the NIL era.


Alia Armstrong: An elite hurdler for LSU, Armstrong has adopted an innovative approach to NIL, furthering the impact of track and field athletes in the new landscape.


Jayden Daniels: The standout LSU quarterback, who had one of the most prolific seasons in SEC history and won the 2023 Heisman Trophy, was selected second overall in the 2024 NFL Draft by the Washington Commanders.


The Money Game is directed by Drea Cooper and produced by Campfire Studios, Axios Entertainment, and Shaquille O’Neal's Jersey Legends, a division of Authentic Studios. The docuseries is executive produced by a team including Ross Dinerstein, Rebecca Evans, and Ross Girard of Campfire Studios; Erica Winograd, Jim VandeHei, and Roy Schwartz of Axios Entertainment; and Shaquille O’Neal, Colin Smeeton, and Michael Parris of Jersey Legends, alongside Brendan Daw and Drea Cooper.
