Todd Stashwick to Join 'Vision' Series from Disney+
Todd Stashwick is transitioning from Starfleet to the Marvel TV universe with ease.
The actor, known for his role in Star Trek: Picard, has been cast in Disney+'s upcoming Vision series, where Paul Bettany will reprise his WandaVision character as the android superhero, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Stashwick is set to portray "an assassin in pursuit of the android and his advanced technology."
This casting decision reunites Stashwick with Picard showrunner Terry Matalas, who will also serve as showrunner for the Vision series. The series, which is currently untitled, is scheduled to start filming early next year and will be set post-WandaVision, following Vision's journey as he navigates his new purpose in life.
As previously reported, James Spader returning as Ultron is definitely a highlight for Marvel fans. Ultron was such a memorable villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron, so seeing him come back should be intriguing.
The Agatha All Along spinoff from WandaVision with Kathryn Hahn is also something to look forward to. Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha was a standout, so a whole series centered on her character should be a treat for fans of the show.
As for Stashwick, his diverse roles across various shows highlight his versatility as an actor. His performance as Captain Shaw in Picard and as Theodore Deacon in 12 Monkeys show his knack for playing complex characters. It’s always interesting to see actors with such varied credits and their ongoing projects.
