Billy was uneasy as he met Phyllis at Society, unsure of what she was up to. Phyllis, grinning, assured him that she was up to nothing. For the first time in a long time, everything felt right, she said. She claimed to have let go of all her anger toward Sharon. Billy, however, wasn’t convinced. He understood righteous rage but didn’t buy that Phyllis had really let go of her feelings. To him, it seemed like she was trying to convince herself.
Phyllis insisted that when she committed to something, it was easy. Billy laughed and responded that one thing he admired about her was how she could lie to herself and others so convincingly. She then revealed that she had made a New Year’s resolution to help Billy take back Chancellor, and she was fully committed. Billy, acknowledging her determination, sarcastically cheered her on. Phyllis, however, had one condition. Before she could explain, Summer burst in, telling them that Sharon was missing.
Phyllis mocked Sharon’s disappearance, saying it was just another attention-seeking stunt. Billy asked if that was Phyllis’s anger resurfacing. Phyllis dismissed it, claiming she was just stating facts. Summer, perplexed, questioned if Phyllis truly thought Sharon would disappear without reason. Phyllis calmly explained that Sharon had pulled this before, disappearing for a bit to make everyone panic before returning with everyone forgiving her. Billy, however, noted that Sharon’s timing didn’t add up, especially since Phyllis had just claimed to let go of her rage when Sharon went missing. Billy bluntly asked if Phyllis knew what happened to Sharon.
Phyllis was taken aback but defended herself, claiming she never wanted Sharon to avoid consequences. Summer, upset, confronted Phyllis about her past remarks, and Phyllis quickly backtracked. Sally then arrived, and Billy excused himself to join her.
Sally asked Billy to join her on a business trip to Paris, but Billy half-joked that they could leave immediately. Sally admitted she was trying to distract him from his vendetta against Victor. Billy, unfazed, confirmed that his plans would continue once they returned. Meanwhile, Phyllis couldn’t believe Billy had accused her of being involved with Sharon’s disappearance, only to sit with Sally as if nothing had happened. She expressed her frustration, wondering why people always thought the worst of her.
Summer, sensing Phyllis’s frustration, asked if she wanted to join Billy and Sally. Phyllis declined, but when Summer mentioned how concerned Nick and Michael were about Sharon, Phyllis dismissed the situation, claiming Sharon was just being selfish. Phyllis suggested they move forward as a family without Sharon.
As Summer left with Sally, Phyllis joined Billy and continued their conversation. She reminded him that he could direct his energy into going after Victor. Billy teased her, asking if her revenge was really any different from his. Phyllis, unfazed, laid down her condition: if she helped Billy get Chancellor back, Daniel had to be a key figure in the company. She emphasized the importance of this deal to move forward after Heather’s situation. Billy reluctantly agreed, and Phyllis made it clear that without Daniel's involvement, she would back out.
Elsewhere, Nick spent the night at Sharon’s house and, in the morning, filled Faith in on the lack of updates. Despite his efforts, there were still no leads, and the police were on the case. Faith, increasingly worried, wondered if Ian was somehow involved. Nick reassured her, but Faith pointed out that Ian’s presence in town was troubling, especially since the security at the ranch wasn’t in place until after Sharon’s disappearance. She feared the worst, but Nick maintained hope that Sharon was simply taking a break.
At the ranch, Victor reassured Nikki that Ian wouldn’t harm anyone in the family. He promised to deal with Ian, knowing that Ian’s manipulative nature made him a significant threat. Meanwhile, Nick and Victor discussed Sharon’s disappearance and Ian’s potential involvement. They knew Ian was playing a game, but the truth of his intentions remained unclear. Soon, Chance called, confirming that Sharon’s car had been found in the river.
Mariah and Tessa were in the park with Aria when they unexpectedly ran into Ian, sitting on a bench with his Bible. Ian greeted them and tried to engage in conversation, but Mariah wasn’t having it. She made it clear that she found him disgusting and couldn’t believe he had the nerve to pretend he had changed. Ian, however, remained calm, claiming he wanted to make amends. Mariah threatened him, warning him to stay away from her family. Ian, however, spoke of “plans” and insisted that everything was interconnected. Mariah, visibly disgusted, swore she would never forgive him.
Tessa, meanwhile, grew more uncomfortable as Ian implied that his actions with Tessa’s asthma attack were somehow part of a bigger plan. Mariah wasn’t having any of it and demanded that Ian never approach her family again. Ian left, leaving Mariah with one final ominous comment about her needing to find forgiveness. Mariah, unshaken, vowed to protect her family at all costs.
