Victoria and Nick met at Society to discuss business. Victoria mentioned how much had slipped through the cracks, with Ian targeting them and Victor being shot. Nick remarked that life and work couldn't stop due to these catastrophes. Victoria was grateful they were good at their jobs, and they fist-bumped. Nick acknowledged they'd dodged many bullets, but Victoria noted they hadn't all avoided them.

Nick realized his choice of words was poor, and he was grateful their father still had years ahead of him. Victoria admitted that Victor had seemed morose earlier when she checked on him. Nick suggested it was because Victor had faced a near-death experience and was reflecting on his life. Victoria confessed she’d be unprepared for the day they lost their parents.

Nick reminded her they couldn’t control time, but they needed to cherish every moment while their parents were still around.

Victoria mentioned that Victor had said the same about holding family close. Nick was confident Victor would bounce back, as he always had.

Victoria asked how Faith was holding up. Nick said she was struggling, but resilient, and he was proud of her. He also praised Sharon for enduring so much and hoped her recovery was genuine. Victoria believed their family could heal now that Ian and Jordan were gone. She commended Nick for being a supportive ex-husband, and Nick expressed his anger at Ian and Jordan for putting everyone through so much.

At Crimson Lights, Kyle recalled Summer telling him how fun Harrison’s class painting project was, especially with Summer there. Harrison excitedly announced his next project: a diorama of a typical day at home, and he wanted his parents’ help. Summer suggested they have dinner at the Abbott home that night to work on it, and Kyle reluctantly agreed.

Harrison imagined his classmates would make dioramas of video games or toys, but he wanted his to show his awesome family around the dining table. He also wanted his mom to join, noting it was his favorite part of the day when they all ate together. Kyle thought Jack would be thrilled by that. Harrison also envisioned putting Mrs. Martinez and a puppy in the diorama. Kyle noted they didn’t have a puppy yet, to which Harrison optimistically replied, “Not yet.”

Summer apologized for possibly disrupting Kyle’s plans. Kyle shared he was supposed to have dinner with Claire and Victor, but he didn’t mind canceling. Summer was surprised Victor agreed to dinner with Kyle, and Kyle explained Claire wanted to show Victor he was a good guy. Summer wondered if Kyle and Claire's relationship had gotten serious, and Kyle confirmed they were happy.

Harrison returned with a cupcake for Mrs. Martinez, which Summer teased him about. She then hugged Harrison and left to make a quick stop before meeting them at the house.

Claire arrived at the ranch and found Victor working, despite needing rest. She asked if he was free for dinner that night with her and Kyle. Victor was reluctant, as it meant condoning Kyle and Claire’s relationship, but Claire was determined to show him how good Kyle was for her. Victor expressed disapproval, citing Kyle’s past mistakes and his connection to Jack. Claire countered that Kyle had made amends and was a man of integrity.

Victor reminisced about how Jack’s past choices had hurt Victoria, and he didn’t want the same for Claire. Claire stood her ground, wanting to make her own decisions. After Claire left, she told Kyle the dinner had been a hard sell, but she wasn’t giving up on it.

Back at the Newman ranch, Victor discussed with Summer how important it was for Harrison to feel the love between his parents. Summer was relieved he wasn’t suggesting she move back into the Abbott house. Victor mentioned that he didn’t wish that on anyone, and Summer assured him their family was in a good balance. Nick later found Victor and Summer together and was surprised by their conversation.

At the old Newman ranch, Adam confronted Chelsea about Connor eating his favorite chips. Chelsea admitted it, and they shared a laugh about their living situation. Sharon visited and gave them a quilted throw for the chilly nights. She also acknowledged the challenges they were all facing and supported Chelsea’s healing journey.

Later, Chelsea revealed her desire to keep things clear with Adam, insisting they weren’t back together. Sharon could sense the tension but also noted that Adam and Chelsea had found their way back before. Adam later remarked that Sharon seemed to be developing feelings for Nick, and the scene ended with Chelsea unsure about their future as a family.
