Summer arrived at Crimson Lights but was displeased to see Sharon as she ordered her coffee. She admitted that Daniel had informed them of Sharon’s exoneration, but she wasn’t sure anything Sharon said could make things better. As Nick walked in, Summer told Sharon that words weren’t enough.
Summer acknowledged their permanent connection through Faith but reminded Sharon that she had lied and tried to frame Daniel. Listing all the harm Sharon had caused Daniel and Lucy, Summer expressed her uncertainty about forgiveness. Sharon, however, confessed that she felt the same way—she was horrified by her own actions and struggled to forgive herself.
Nick urged Summer to take time to process everything but also to listen to Sharon. Summer snapped that Phyllis was also deeply hurt. While Nick understood, he believed Sharon deserved understanding and forgiveness, as she wasn’t in control of her actions while drugged. Summer wasn’t ready to accept that and resented being pressured. Sharon apologized again, but Summer insisted she needed time.
Sharon stepped onto the patio, while Summer sat at a separate table, looking disappointed when Nick followed Sharon instead of staying with her. Nick reassured Sharon that time would ease things, but she worried that people would only forgive her if she paid for her crimes. Nick disagreed, believing she didn’t deserve punishment, though Sharon feared people—especially Phyllis—would never let her live it down. Wanting to shift the conversation, Nick suggested they go to Society for breakfast.
Meanwhile, Summer had her coffee when Claire arrived. They had a brief, tense conversation about Harrison’s project. Summer apologized for Claire’s dinner with Kyle being disrupted, but Claire brushed it off, saying it wasn’t a big deal. However, Summer pressed, insisting Claire must have been at least a little disappointed.
Claire assured Summer that she understood Harrison came first and that dinner with Victor could happen another time. Summer, however, remained skeptical that Victor would ever change his mind about Kyle or the Abbotts. Claire admitted that Victor’s hatred seemed extreme and wondered if it was justified.
Nick stopped by to check on Summer before leaving with Sharon. Once alone, Summer told Claire that Victor had never interfered in her relationship with Kyle—if anything, he had supported it. Though he had warned her about the Abbotts, he had ultimately been happy for her. Claire wanted things settled because she truly cared about Kyle and wanted Victor to understand that. Summer advised her not to push too hard, warning that Kyle didn’t seem optimistic about Victor ever accepting them as a couple. When Claire asked if Kyle had said that, Summer clarified that it was just the impression he gave. Despite Summer’s skepticism, Claire remained determined.
Before leaving for work, Summer thanked Claire for putting her plans on hold to spend time as a family. “And don’t worry so much about Kyle,” she added. “Things will work out exactly how they’re supposed to.”
At Society, Phyllis met with Daniel, who had made a decision about his future. Depending on the role Billy offered, he was willing to give working with him a shot. Phyllis was thrilled and wanted to call Billy immediately, but when he didn’t answer, she seemed distracted.
Sensing something was off, Daniel asked what was really on her mind. Phyllis admitted she and Sally didn’t get along,
reminding Daniel that Sally had manipulated Summer and tried to break up her and Kyle. However, Daniel pointed out that Summer had moved past it, and Phyllis should, too. She worried that Sally might influence Billy’s perception of her. Daniel pressed Phyllis about her true feelings. He said that if she wanted to date Billy, neither of them should work with him. Phyllis insisted she had no romantic interest in Billy, calling Sally a distraction at best and destruction at worst.
Though unsure about his role at Abbott Communications, Daniel hoped to honor Heather’s memory through his work. As he and Phyllis reminisced about Heather’s love for dogs and karaoke, emotions ran high, and they had to change the subject.
Daniel appreciated Phyllis always having his back. He wished Heather were still there and that this nightmare would end.
Phyllis encouraged him to hold onto hope. However, their mood soured when Nick and Sharon walked in.
Nick and Sharon stopped to greet them, but Phyllis refused to meet their eyes. As they walked past, Phyllis called out, “Hey Nick, you might want to check Sharon’s pancakes for PCP—I hear it causes quite a reaction.”
Nick and Sharon took their seats, and Sharon admitted that public judgment like Phyllis’s was exactly what she deserved. Nick, however, saw it as a punishment she was imposing on herself and suggested she view people’s reactions as the penance she believed she needed. Sharon wasn’t convinced it was enough.
Across the restaurant, Phyllis and Daniel decided to leave. Meanwhile, Nick and Sharon looked over the menu. Seeing mimosas, Nick fondly recalled making them for her once, pleased to hear her laugh again. Sharon suggested they order some.
In Paris, Billy and Sally arrived at Ashley’s apartment. Sally appreciated Billy arranging for her to stay in one of Ashley’s guest rooms. As they planned their day, Billy ignored a call from Phyllis, opting instead to go sightseeing. However, they were soon caught in a rainstorm and rushed back inside.
Deciding to stay in, Billy and Sally retreated to the bedroom. After making love, they lay in bed, savoring the moment. Sally admitted it was her first time making love in Paris, and Billy agreed, though she found that hard to believe. “It felt like the first time,” he murmured.
He found magic in getting caught in the rain with her. “Must be the weather,” Sally teased, but Billy insisted it was her. The rain eventually stopped, but they were perfectly content staying right where they were.
